How does on-demand childcare work?

Members may book on-demand care through our app. Once your family account is complete, you select the children and the days you need care for and book through our app. We will follow up and make sure you know what to expect on your first day!

Does Moxi offer a curriculum for children?

Yes!

Moxi provides a thoughtfully designed curriculum that fosters learning and development through Montessori-inspired, age-appropriate activities. Our program is built specifically for on-demand care and emphasizes creativity, social-emotional growth, and personal responsibility to support your child’s unique learning journey.

Is food included in the cost of care?

Yes!

Healthy, nutritious snacks are included in both full-day and half-day care. A balanced lunch is included with full-day bookings and can be added to half-day bookings for an additional $8.

Can I send food for my child?

Yes!

This is a great option for children with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.

Are diapers included in the cost of care?

We encourage you to bring your own diapers and wipes. However, if you forget, no worries—we have diapers and wipes available for a small additional fee!

Are Moxi Centers licensed by DHR?

Yes!

All Moxi facilities will be fully licensed by the Department of Human Resources upon opening.

Are Moxi staff CPR certified?

Absolutely. All Moxi team members are CPR certified to ensure the highest safety standards.

Are there cameras in Moxi Childcare facilities?

Yes!

All Moxi childcare facilities will have cameras in each classroom to support safety and security.

What is Moxi's sick child policy in the childcare facilities?

Moxi follows all CDC and state-recommended guidelines to keep our environment healthy.

Children with a fever over 100.4°F (without medication), vomiting, diarrhea, or an unexplained rash (unless documented by a physician, such as eczema) will need to stay home until symptoms resolve.

If a child becomes ill during the day, they will be removed from class and supervised by a Moxi staff member in a separate area until a family member arrives to pick them up.

How does Moxi store breastmilk, etc.?

At Moxi, we're supportive of your infant feeding journey, whatever that looks like!

Each classroom is equipped with refrigerators specifically for storing breast milk and formula. We also provide bottle warmers to ensure your little one’s milk is warmed to the perfect temperature when needed.

Please pre-make all bottles (breastmilk and formula) and label them with your child’s name.

What goes in the diaper bag for a day at Moxi?

For a day at Moxi, please pack the following essentials: diapers, wipes, and diaper cream (if needed), extra clothes, and any feeding supplies, including pre-made breast milk or formula bottles labeled with your child’s name.

Since we play outside often, it's important to dress your child appropriately for the weather. In warmer months, include a sun hat, and in colder months, make sure to pack a jacket and warm layers as needed. You’re also welcome to send along a special item from home, such as a small stuffed animal or blanket, for comfort.

Do I have to remain on-site to use the childcare facilities?

No!

While members are welcome to use our on-site coworking and fitness studios, you do not have to remain on-site to use Moxi’s childcare center. You may drop your child off at Moxi and head out to your day, just like a typical childcare center.

Will there be events on-site for parents?

Yes!

We plan to offer a wide variety of events for parents to enjoy, including yoga classes, seasonal children’s clothing swaps, post-partum circles, and more!

Can I be a member of Moxi if I don't have a child?

Moxi membership is exclusively for families and parents with children registered in our childcare program. The only exception is for expecting parents who have purchased their membership in advance.

Can I use the coworking or fitness facilities without a membership?

No.

Moxi facilities are reserved for members only.

Can I use the coworking + fitness facilities when my child is not in childcare?

Absolutely!

As a Moxi member, you’re welcome to use our coworking and fitness facilities at any time, whether or not your child is in our care.

Is there a coworking and fitness studio located at every Moxi Center?

Not yet, but as a Moxi member, you have access to family amenities at any of our centers.

Please check each center’s page or the Moxi app to see which locations offer coworking spaces and fitness centers.

What's included in the fitness center?

The fitness center will be designed for functional training, with free weights, a Peloton bike and rower machine, yoga mats, and other equipment you can use on your own.

Members will also have access to personal training by HomeFit, which can happen in our studio. There is also a shower on-site with each gym.

What's included in the coworking spaces?

Our coworking spaces feature private phone booths, conference rooms, high-speed WiFi, complimentary coffee, and a variety of comfortable work areas!

Plus, the added benefit of being near your child for a quick bottle feed, lunchtime visit, or breastfeeding session.

Can I cancel my membership anytime?

Absolutely.

You may cancel at any time through our app or by emailing us at hello@moxichildcare.com. Please allow 72 hours for the cancellation to take effect.

Can I get a refund for my membership?

Moxi memberships are flexible and can be canceled at any time; however, please note that we do not offer refunds for membership fees already paid. Canceling your membership will prevent future charges but will not result in a refund for prior payments.

What is your cancellation + refund policy on childcare days?

You may cancel your childcare reservation for a full refund if done at least 72 hours before your booking’s start time. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours of notice but more than two hours of notice will receive credit for future use. For cancellations with less than two hours of advanced notice, credits may be granted at management’s discretion.

Why are the daily + hourly rates for older kids lower?

Older children are generally more independent—they’re typically potty trained and able to eat with minimal assistance. Because they require less hands-on care from our staff, we offer a reduced rate that reflects this difference.
